Mrs. Kelly Fuchs - Principal

I am so excited to be with all of our Miners on The Mountain! I graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education in 2006. I began my career teaching gifted resource and continued on to teach 3rd grade as a homeroom teacher. I received my Master’s Degree from NGCSU in 2008 and my Ed.S in School Leadership in 2012. I have had many roles in schools, including Teacher, Math Coach, Instructional Technology Specialist, and Assistant Principal before being named Principal of CMES.  When I am not at work, you can usually find me on the soccer field with my two boys, Jackson and Nathaniel, and my husband, Erik. As a family, we enjoy spending time together, playing outside with our dog, Rosie, and taking road trips.

Mrs. Stacy Hunsinger- Assistant Principal

I am honored to begin my third year as Assistant Principal at Coal Mountain Elementary! With 18 years of experience in education, I am passionate about fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, as well as certifications in Special Education and Educational Leadership. Throughout my career, I have served in a variety of instructional and leadership roles, including 2nd and 4th grade classroom teacher, Interrelated Resource teacher, Special Education Department Chair, and Quality Work Facilitator. Prior to joining the Coal Mountain community, I taught in Gwinnett County Schools and have spent the past eight years proudly serving in Forsyth County Schools. I am the proud mother of three boys—Logan, Brock, and Phoenix. Both Brock and Phoenix will be continuing their journeys here as Miners, and our entire family is excited to be a part of such a vibrant and connected community. In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking, reading, yoga, and cooking. I am truly looking forward to another incredible year on The Mountain and to partnering with families, students, and staff to make this school year the best one yet!

Mrs. Kim Nater- Assistant Administrator

Now in my 19th year with Forsyth County Schools, I am thrilled to begin a new chapter as part of the administration team at Coal Mountain Elementary—home of the Miners! Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles, including general education teacher, interrelated resource teacher, specialized instruction teacher, and district special education behavior coach/specialist. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Writing and Elementary Education from William Paterson University, a master’s degree in Special Education, and a specialist degree in Teaching and Learning. Most recently, I completed the Tier 1 Leadership program at the University of North Georgia. Outside of school, I enjoy time on our small hobby farm with my husband, our daughter—a Liberty Patriot—and our animals: our sweet pup Lady, two cats Ruby and Jasper, three goats, several chickens, and two goldfish. In my free time, I love reading, working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and playing games with my family.

It is an honor to serve the Coal Mountain community, and I look forward to making memories with our Miner family!
