Mentoring

We are so thankful for our mentors!
Our mentors help Coal Mountain students grow and build community relationships. We are lucky to be close to a high school that allows so many students to come work with our students! We also encourage our community members to be mentors in our school as well!
Mentors come once a week to work with our students for 30 minutes. Mentors encourage social skills, academic skills, and communication, and provide individualized attention! If your student is selected to participate in this program, a consent form will be sent home via email, and you are welcome to reach out with any questions. Similar to small groups, this does not mean your child is doing something wrong! Our mentors just love to spend time with our Miners and want to encourage positive community relationships.
